LGBTQ+ Adults

Many of our younger selves grew up receiving direct and indirect messaging about the wrongness, the differentness, and perhaps even the sinfulness of an identity we gradually came to understand we possessed.

What is the impact of growing up in such a way? What is the impact of growing up within a world rooted in heteronormativity and anti-queerness?

I help LGTBQ+ folks in exploring these questions. Together, we examine how these impacts may be connected to ways of being today that may be getting in their way. How they relate to themselves. How they engage or disengage in relationships. How they feel within the greater world.

I seek to support queer and trans adults in exploring what it means for them to heal and find the liberation of their most true and free self. This involves opening space to dive into the story and experiences of their younger selves, while also giving space to address experiences today that cause suffering, including:

  • anxiety

  • coming out

  • depression

  • dissatisfying substance use

  • family struggles

  • feeling of "otherness"

  • inner criticism

  • relationship issues

  • Second Adolescence (learn more)

  • self-acceptance/self-compassion

  • sex/sexuality issues

  • social, cultural, religious struggles

  • social isolation/withdrawal
